Just a funny discovery made in recent years as I encounter guys in my life and watch mindless dramas; and noticed seemingly shared characteristics in the guys whom I would like.
The guys I like are normally of the same traits.
Emo-f at first glance, but is deeper within.
Talented, or has talent(s) in some area.
Does the typical irritating act of giving a silent blurb of laughter and refuse to say why.
Silently (again!) opinionated, and not wishy washy.
Exudes an air of confidence.
A sense of humour, only to those he let in beyond that silent front.
All of which is funny ’cause obviously I am noisy chatty max, but perhaps it’s the whole ying and yang thing where I just need someone to be quiet and listen to me. Hahaha.
To prove my point further, I filtered through phases of my life where there were guys I get just a teeny weeny bit infatuated by.
Disclaimer: Most of which are fallacies ’cause they are most likely acting their roles, keeping up with a front or just being celebrities; and could possibly be jerks in real life, I don’t know but here goes.
1. Nick Carter

Muahaha, you all can laugh at me now.
But I was like what, Primary 6, and he is blond and cute (then), and not forgetting, a teen pop sensation from Backstreet Boys. *hums: I’ll never break your heart, I’ll never make you cry* Anyway, I got over him pretty soon and very much prefer Asians from then on.

2. Vic Zhou

Or more accurately, Hua Ze Lei from Meteor Garden. You can laugh at me again but I think that’s adolescence where love is air and eloping sounds like an exciting idea. No money also never mind; if there is love, everything will be alright.
At the peak of my madness and surging hormones, I actually went queuing at Junction 8 for god knows how many hours so I can shake hands with ahem, F4, and also get a chop of their signatures on my 流星雨 album. (pause for laughter) First and last thing I’ve ever done for idols of any kind. Wells, evidence I was young and impressionable once.
For the record, my brother has this friend called Ken Koh who perpetually calls me F4, even up till now. I don’t blame him, sigh.

3. Kim Hyun Jung

Since I’m at it, here you go, the korean version of Hua Ze Lei.
I don’t know much about this guy but he does act the part well, and I am not so ashamed to say I like him ’cause he does look quite cute. The only concern if you date a guy like that is, if he is prettier than you are and he will most likely check the mirrors more than you do.

4. Jay Chou

Woohoo! Also know as MY BOYFRIEND (I wish).
Awkwardly humourous, as in funny because he is NOT but tries to be. Talented, check – who doesn’t like guys who can play musical instruments well. Rich, I shall not go on on this point. Seemingly reserved but yes, confident, and does the silent blurb of laughter a lot.
Some of you possibly have a lot to say about his singing. I don’t really care ’cause some of his songs does make me work happily when they are played in LL; with exceptions of those noisy her her ha hee ones.
What I do like for sure, is his role in 不能说的秘密。

Totally fits the aforementioned traits; plus points for being romantic and playing the piano amazingly well.
(I don’t really care if you are still laughing at me at this point. Haha.)

Funny thing is, with all the case studies above, I actually ended up with someone who looks like this.

5. Collin Goh
People says he looks more like 品冠. I think it’s the black frame geeky frames.
Going back to the earlier points:
Emo-f at first glance, but is deeper within.
Check. Totally hate him the first time I met him. Emo-f max and refuse to hang out with the rest at MY class outing. Hello!?
Talented, or has talent(s) in some area.
Collin’s biggest talent is, *drumroll*, his confidence. Enough said.
Does the typical irritating act of giving a silent blurb of laughter and refuse to say why.
Yes, his occasional toothy grins which Yina claims crack her up.
Silently (again!) opinionated, and not wishy washy.
Change that to VERY opinionated, not too sure if it is always a good thing.
Exudes an air of confidence.
Refer to point number 2.
A sense of humour, only to those he let in beyond that silent front.
Maybe in the past it was more exclusive. Now, his humour seems to be for all to share. Haha, but I like, happy vibes are always good.
This blog post is not helping to tame his ego and confidence, but we previously had this discussion and he already knew (and I swear there is this smirk on his face). So well, Collin (with the double L), good for you?
I think you should blog about the girls you like. On hindsight, I never knew of any celebrities/idols you like except Jay Chou, Michael Jordon, Kobe Byrant and lots of other random MBA players. Maybe, I’m just a cover up. Meh.

Back to work - It’s springtime at Little Red Heels! : )
We told you April will be an exciting month. 2 series in a week (we just launched 1 on earlier this week on Monday)! Are we enthusiastic or what?
Next launch will be tentatively this Sunday, 17APR at 7PM.
We are totally loving the colours in this series – very loud, bold and happy! Very Little Red Heels, yes, we are very glad to be back. : )
No more hoping we keep up with this. We WILL make it happen! (Right, Zi??)
Here’s a preview of the series – featuring our very own skater skirt, the Marc Jacobs inspired flare dress, I Heart Polkadot Dress relaunched in new colours and a pretty Marc Jacobs inspired floral blouse which DX totally rocked in.
We tried a few funny things this series. Like getting Linda to wear a wig ’cause she keeps surprising us with her hair colour every photo shoot. Haha, and some turned out erm, not so nice than the others. Urps. We need wigs with more ATTITUDE. Now, we’ll pass the baton to our design pixie, Farah, to make it work. (Thanks, babe!)
