this v-day 2010 is awesome.

How was your v-day?

Mine was pretty awesome!!!

Collin left a hint of what’s brewing on my whiteboard and refused to tell me further.
All that’s told was to bring an extra set of clothes, bikini & toileteries.

So I played along and kept snapping along the way,
just in case the surprise pops up anytime. Heh. : )

Weather is sunny, perfectttt! : )

However, my exorbitant mani/pedi was ruined within the first hour. Sigh.

BTW, A Girl’s Haven - this nail place at Kallang Leisure Park – is a big NO GO. They don’t tell you that they charged nail art BY THE NAIL and attempted to charge me and my sis $10 per nail, on top of the base charge for mani ($25) and pedi ($35). Mine was a simple french plus scallop hem, and the initial bill came total $236. I almost puke blood and died – I could do very nice gel nails with that kind of money. So I did what Collin taught best, express my unhappiness, and the bill was slashed down to $120 with a couple of lame sounding reasons. WTF.

The saving grace was, I like the scallop hem nail art enough but am never NEVER going back again. Not to mention, the cashier (probably the lady boss) and the manicurist were whispering several times right in front of me during the session - possibly discussing how much they can charge us, that was honestly rather unprofessional and rude.

Meh.

It’s been long since we were at Sentosa so
everything was pretty fresh and new to me!

Of course, no beach outings are complete without sunsets and jump shots. : )

We had a good quiet dinner at Kou Fu in Sentosa itself.

Do you know?
The sound system along the pathways at Sentosa is by BOSE. Cool*

Morning!

Breakfast with blooming water lilies, squirrels and bird shit on our pancakes!

Mom called and asked us to buy preview tickets to Universal Studios
and we managed to grab them before they are sold out that very same day!

Look who we met at the ticketing office of USS!

It was a fantastic escapade from work & all.

Thank you darling!

I  ♥ U loads.

this friday was ♥ and relaxation.

I’m back from a romantic getaway!

thank you, darling!

Sun, sea, waterfall – he really meant so literally.

It’s been a while since I was in waters and under the sun – suddenly I feel eighteen again (wait, I AM eighteen! *erhem). Reliving those good ol’ days when we chiong-ed Sentosa almost every weekend.

Here’s some pictures selected at random, more in the next post. : )
Got to do some last minute tidying, will update later!

There’s so much to say and whine about, including my exorbitant mani/pedi. *groans

Meanwhile, have a great reunion dinner!

Gong xi fa cai!

HUAT AH!

classic jumping shots

squirrel say munch munch hello munch!

this friday is pamper and ♥.

Pampering myself by going to facial and mani+pedi with sis in a while.
Very last minute I know, if they screwed up anything, it’s screwed up.
Haha, but it should be fine!

Love because Collin has planned something for us in advance for v-day
and this time round, he is not telling. I say he is getting better at this
’cause I totally have no idea; maybe except that

it involves Sentosa,

it’s not taxing – quoting him “the most taxing part is getting to Sentosa”,

plus these abstract clues he wrote on my whiteboards (my christmas present from him):

So exciting! I’ll keep you guys updated what’s up!

The ball is now thrown back in my court,
and I think I have a v-day present in mind that he will rather adore as well.♥

Finally,

my birthday wish list

(updated 27MAR2010)

Chanel classic wallet (OOS, on waiting list) - wait no more, bought a Prada instead

USB hub - Zi & Jack got a Targus USB hub for me!

Things that I don’t really need but it’s nice to have:

BB - I think I still like my iPhone

DSLR - idontneeditidontneeditidontneedit

Sewing machine - UG got this for me, awwww.

Meh, not a very good list but there really isn’t anything that I really need/want.
What might always work will be a hell lot of stationery and maybe a subscription to yoga (or any fitness) class. The former to feed my obsession, the latter to end my procrastination (but please don’t sign me up alone).

I’m so difficult but that’s how eighteen years olds are like. *erhem

If you can think of something else, do go ahead!

UG, we shall not be procrastinators this year! : )

don’t try, don’t know

Have you ever done something and in the aftermath, cringe at the very thought of it?

And I mean cringe with every soul, blood and bone of your body. I have, always had. It’ll take some time for me to forget, and till then, I cringe and cringe and cringe at the most sporadic moments each time I recall the happenings/moment.

I am starting to wonder if it’s the motto that I have been living by was also the one that puts me in such precarious position.

Don’t try, don’t know.

OMG, kill myselffffff. (see: cringing again)

Not even 10 days into 2010 and I am driving this year crazy wild.

For starters, I went for a much needed visit for both manicure and pedicure and man! I think I got the most gorgeous mani around! So cute, with a tinge of vintage vibe. I think the nails are very me, whatever that means.

(No pics for pedi. Toes turn out like crap ’cause midway, the boss got a new girl to take over. Girl has no absolute concept and the product is nothing like the picture I picked out. Blah.)

Rewinding to a few days ago on 2010 count down, time was well spent with Collin and a few darlings who are absolutely important to my life. Nothing beats that!

The last moments of 2009 was captured in B/W. It wasn’t that bad a year but we always wish that 2010 will be an even better (and more colourful) one!

There was a few not so good moments thus far, especially THAT day that I had to scream into the phone at my supplier. Hate myself for not keeping my calm but they always drive me so mad that I’m on the edge of tears. Never mind about that! The other days were jolly happy.

AND.

For the latest addition to the-things-that-make-me-cringe-uncontrollably, meh.

I got half deceived and half cajoled into doing a TV news interview by a university friend (Evelyn) for Channel U. The topic was on the blogshop trends and its relation to Singpost. Seriously, I think I talked like an idiot. It’s like verbal diarrhoea. Very bad, very very bad. That’s why I prefer not to talk ’cause I know very well I will probably say the wrong things. True enough, urg.

Collin’s mum commented that my face was round.

Collin could see through my desperate attempt to cover that PMS pimple.

There was some good comments for saving grace.
Thanks, you kind hearted souls.

But it’s ok. I’m not just selective memory, I’m also short term memory. For once, I am happy for being as such.

And that’s my 30 seconds to “fame”. And it has soon been verified that this is not the thing for me. Haha. Scurries to work on some other things that don’t involve talking.

Ending this pictorial entry with the fireworks we caught at our very kind host’s new penthouse abode during the new year countdown.

HAPPY 2010!
